Robin’s Nest Counselling
Online counselling services available for individuals aged 16 and above.
Welcome to Robin’s Nest Counselling
My name is Carole, and I have been a qualified counsellor for 18 years, registered with the BACP. The way that I work is tailored to each person I work with and will be based around a Person Centred and CBT approach. The number of sessions you may choose to have is your choice and can be either long-term or in a more specific and time-limited way.
I provide an online service that enables you to have appointments from your own comfort zone. These sessions will be a confidential, supportive, and safe environment for individuals to explore their thoughts and feelings. Currently, I work with both adults and young people aged 16 and above.

I work with a wide range of issues such as but not limited to:
Phobias, fears, stress, anxiety, irrational thoughts, relationships, grief & life events.
Counselling, explained.
What is CBT?
CBT (noun, acronym)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Thoughts, actions, physical feelings and emotions all interact. CBT is a collaborative talking therapy which helps you to overcome unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving to change the way you feel.
CBT is a form of therapy that can help people manage problems by changing their thinking and behaviour patterns. It’s often used to treat depression and anxiety but can also be useful for other mental and physical health issues.

What is Person-centered therapy?
(noun, Psychology)
Person-centred therapy focuses on self-actualisation, which emphasises the ability for us to become who we want to be rather than having it determined by third parties or society. It is the client rather than the counsellor, as the client is the expert of their own self and life. With support from the counsellor, clients in person-centred counselling are helped to accept, acknowledge and affirm themselves.

What I offer
Counselling can take different forms depending on your needs and what type of therapy may be suitable.
Most therapy takes place in planned, regular sessions that last 50 minutes. Depending on your circumstances, how often you see your therapist and how many appointments you have will depend on your circumstances.
I am also a tutor for counsellors. I recognise the dedication and commitment required to complete the qualification to become a qualified counsellor, and I offer a reduced rate to trainee counsellors.
To ensure safe practice, I attend regular supervision with a qualified supervisor.
